What is Project RISE?
Project RISE is an academic enrichment program that prepares traditionally underserved, highly motivated students in grades 6 - 12 in the Greater Boston and South Shore areas for the rigors of higher education and the workforce. Project RISE uses an academic and social development framework in its summer program to focus on key areas that will enhance student performance and their eventual matriculation to college. Project RISE’s focus is unique in that it seeks to increase the number of college-ready students from marginalized communities and systems to pursue university study with financial assistance and academic supports where needed. Project RISE students have the added benefit of being exposed to world-class institutions of higher education as they are committed to cultivating a pipeline of diverse, talented students from traditionally underrepresented and underserved backgrounds.
